THE COLOR WALK

THE COLOR WALK

The “Color Walk” will immerse us in the green of the trees. We’ll search for colors around us and find them again in the colorful patterns of snakes and birds, leading us to the curious Lemurs of Madagascar.

The white beaches of Betty’s Bay are home to African Penguins—why are they black and white?

BE A BEAR

BE A BEAR

Let’s have fun identifying bear footprints and following their tracks… until we meet one! Before we go, we’ll prepare a special gift for Teddy and Okila, the bears of GZP. Did you know they love honey and fruit?”

GUESS THE GUEST

GUESS THE GUEST

The zoo kitchen prepares special menus every morning, and now it’s your turn: bowls of seeds, bamboo leaves, baskets of fruit, and boxes of mealworms. Can you choose the right ingredients to prepare food for parrots, bears, and meerkats? Presentation is very important too—give it a try with us!

Activity suitable for children aged 8 to 13.

ON THE TRAIL OF THE WILD PREDATORS

ON THE TRAIL OF THE WILD PREDATORS

Wolves, lynxes, and bears are much closer than we might expect. Let’s have fun identifying bear footprints and following their tracks… until we meet one.

To follow animals in the woods, a radio collar is very useful. How does it work?

To place a radio collar, we need the help of a veterinarian: would you like to try using blowpipes and syringes too?

Activity suitable for children aged 8 to 13.

EXTINCT? THINK AGAIN!

EXTINCT? THINK AGAIN!

Have you ever joined a dig like a real paleontologist? What if we told you we could travel back in time with 3D technology to meet the fearsome T-Rex?

We’ll practice excavation techniques and try to classify the newly discovered fossil bones: who do they belong to? What if we’re facing a new discovery? And who are the ‘modern dinosaurs’?

Activity suitable for children aged 8 to 11.
